I had never even heard of a chargeback before you asked about this situation. I did some research. Apparently, when you have a claim made on your insurance contract, instead of paying the money out to cover the cost of the claim, the insurance company pays it out to the insured; basically it's like getting paid twice for your claim. Does that make sense? The obvious answer is that you can file bankruptcy on anything you want, but then again there are a lot of things we can do that aren't necessarily good ideas.
